Start Menu / Documents Folder

I would like to adjust how long the files stay listed in
this folder

There is no way to do this in W98.  Documents holds only so many entries and
then when the limit is exceeded, the entires fall off, oldest first.  There
may be a third party program that does what you want.

My list is clearing after each boot, which for me is each
day.

Do you have Tweak UI installed?  If so, look at the Paranoia tab and see if
you have Documents being cleared at boot.

I just checked and I have never had Tweak on this machine.

Nice to have, you may find out how your current settings are.

Tweak UI 1.33 Read the article and Download the new version.
System Requirements
Windows 2000, NT, ME, 98 or Windows 95.

Look for this setting in your registry. It may be set.

Policy:Remove Recent Documents item from Start Menu
Description:Removes the Recent Documents folder from the Start menu. Also
removes the corresponding checkbox from the Start menu customization CPL.
