I have spent hours trying to save my friends windows 98
machine , cant get it in safe mode mprexe error states
program illegal action and will shut down, this message
appears even in safe mode this happened after
reinstalling corrupt files and missing dlls from the
windows 98 second edition disc, Any help Please e mail

Go to MSConfig (Start > Run > msconfig) and disable the
entry from the Startup tab. Reboot.
