The point is that the bad guys may attempt to do it for you.
Cisco has announced a patch, but it still has to be downloaded

It could be a slow day Friday, or a bad week next week,
or it may all come to naught if the good guys get there first.

The guy that shot his mouth off about an impending disaster
is now downplaying the whole issue and blaming an
overzealous media for creating the furor that he himself initiated.
