There probably is a cheaper solution.
Why not supply details?

Well, I'm trying to install a new version of AIM, and at
the end of the installation, it tells me that there are
2 .dll files and one .exe file missing, and I can't
install the program. I've tried installing those files,
but it doesn't work.

What files?
With the utmost respect, "2 .dll and one .exe" is hardly enough detail
for anyone to guess at your problem.
