I need to install a new hard drive and don't have the
original Windows 98 disk.  I can't upgrade (48 MB RAM and
233 processor) and I can't buy 98 anywhere.  Any
suggestions?

Can it be you have the .cabs on your hard drive...?...

"START, Find, F/F, Win*.cab".
If 55 show up, that is them!

Thanks or Good Luck,
There may be humor in this post, and,
Naturally, you will not sue,
should things get worse after this,

If it's an OEM, call their customer service and see if they will sell
you Quick Restore disks. Compaq sold me a 2CD QuickRestore set for
something like $20, that allowed me to reload all of the original
stuff on a new hard drive.
If you can't get that, then you may get lucky with ebay, but make sure
you are getting an authentic copy.

Good Luck

the computer?  When I put in a new hard-drive, I put that
disk in & followed the instructions on the screen...good
