I have an account on my computer that I have installed
DirectX 9.0. Well I have to restart the computer in order
to have it take affect. Well, when you shut down the
computer everything that didn't originally belong on the
computer gets erased (including Direct X). Anyone know a
folder I could store this in so the computer doesn't erase
it?

I don't really understand your problem ...

So, you have installed DirectX 9, and a message comes up to save all your
data because the system has to reboot? Well, that just means, if you're
typing a letter or something like that in the background, you have to save
it now or it will be lost.

DirectX 9 overwrites previous versions of DirectX, there are no settings or
files you have to save...
