I recently put Windows 98 on an old computer which completely crashed and HAD
95 on it. I used a router and connected (?) the internet to the computer.
However, whenever I start IE, the following message comes up:

"Internet Explorer cannot open the Internet site http://home.microsoft.com/.
An internal error occurred in the Windows Internet extensions."

Maybe I did not go through the Cinnect Wizard right? Can some help?

Are you using dial up or what type of connection ??

If you do not find files like winsock etc then you do not have networking
installed at all. Those files are required.

Try using control panel add/remove then select the windows setup tab. Find
networking and make sure it is installed
