This is the windows98 group.  You'd probably find more appropriate answers
in the WindowsXP groups, such as:  microsoft.public.windowsxp.general
(actually there are a bunch over there).

Guess what ????  YOU HAVE A VIRUS !!!!!!
Only a few people know about this but it happened to me also.
Scanners,anti-virus software will not detect this kind of virus. You
will not see it until you boot up (F8) into safe mode. Windows will
check the drives and see an UNKNOWN FILESYSTEM . //???//##########
and you will never find it.

Go buy a new harddrive with all the rebates it will cost $50.00 .
Next go to microsoft anti-virus and get CA free for a year and install
it on the new harddrive after you load windowsXP . Start up CA and get
updates. get WINDIWS updates especially SP2.
Have fun, DEAGO .
