Thanks to all,
finally nutted it out thanks to a fantastic forum
with a cynosure on Australian Broadband

I believe Primus News server use Pipenetworks
as there upstream provider for newsgroups.
Unfortunately, Pipenetworks have recently decided
to turn off there news server with little or no notice
as they decided it is not worth maintaining newsgroups.
There is a thread on this over in the peering forum.
The net result is that your posts to the primus news
server are going nowhere but the Primus news server.

This will only be solved if Primus get a new upstream
provider but for now I don't belive there is anything you can do.

Glad to see you got to the bottom of it. Is this the NG Primus &/or
PipeNetworks no longer provides...?...

G'day PCR.
Thanks, yes I can access the newsgroup via Google,
but the system is archaic, and my Broadband usage shoots up
you have to reload every time you respond . Ouch!

I would like to engage "Tera News" free newsserver
at $3.95, but I have no idea how I send such a piddling amount
to the US without a credit card.

Well, I don't have a credit card, either! Is that $3.95 per month? Then,
send them a check for a year's worth! My fee for walking $3.95 to them
is $304.16-- if you can find no other solution! I think Terhune does it
for less!

Thanks or Good Luck,
There may be humor in this post, and,
Naturally, you will not sue,
Should things get worse after this,
