this is a new one on me.
Lets say I'm at a message board, I always open the topic in a new window,
that way I just close it, and I am back to the list.
What has been happening, when I close the "new" window, BAM, the original
window also closes.
I thought maybe I was doing something wrong, but I just watched it happen.
Closed the "new" window, and they both closed.
Thanks, Tony

Ran the IE repair tool, "thought" it was OK now, but it is still doing it.
Not every time, but maybe 1 out of 10 times or so.
         Thanks, Tony

Are you clicking the close box to close the window, & does it overlap
the original window? Try using another method, then-- just to see
whether the mouse button is occasionally feeding two clicks for one!

OK, I'll try that, like closing it from the task bar.
Think that could do that?
thanks, Tony

Looks like you may have it.
So far so good closing from the task bar.
I have noticed sometimes like in a folder, if I want to just highlight
something by clicking on it 1 time, the file will open instead, like the left
mouse button is too sensitive.
Might be time for a new mouse.
 Thanks, Tony

You can play with sensitivity at "Control Panel, Mouse". Try the
Double-Click test at the "...Button tab, Options button", for instance.

Also, best open & clean the ball & rollers. The rollers should be solid
black-- no gray band wrapped around their middle like mine once had!
(But now I've got an optical.) With the machine off, unplug it too &
untwist the wire.

|   Thanks, Tony

You are welcome.
