On Windows 98SE using hardware Wizard, Hardware type------Mouse and then
HID Compliant mouse. When i insert the 98SE disc error says cannot find
Mouhid vxd  I then change the routing to C\Windows\options\cabs.Wizard
then says it can complete installation, and returns me to the control
panel. The optic light is working but the mouse is inactive. Can someone
please tell what i am doing wrong? Am using a now idle USB that was
assigned ok before Thx

The mouhid.vxd should be in the Base6.cab file.
Is this a new mouse and is it "compatible" with 98/SE?
You should be able to get drivers for it here:
