My operating system is Microsoft ME, and during start up I
have that error message pop up and throughout the start up
it says "a required .dll file, WINSPOOL.DRV, is not
found".  I have searched the Microsoft.com Knowledge Base
queries, but can not find a solution for this error
message.  Can anyone tell me how to solve this problem?  I
am not able to load my AOL software or Microsoft Word
program without that error message popping up.

The winspool.drv file 'normally' resides in the c:\windows\system folder.
Try a search for it on your c: drive and if it is missing.

You can extract and expand a new copy from your WinMe CD using msfonfig.exe.
winspool.drv is located in the win9x folder in WIN_16.CAB file.
