crashes after new graphics card upgrade

Please help...
I have just upgraded from a nvidia tnt2 pro to a nvidia
geforce4 mx440-8x agp graphics card which installed and
then crashed my pc. I had to reset the pc using the power
button at the front. I have installed various drivers but
still having the same problem. please help me

Did you remove the drivers for your old card first?
I have found the 53.04 have been the best for my MX440 I kept having crashes
with the 45.23 drivers.
