I added memory to two windows ME computers.  Now when
they try to hibernate they fail.  Symptoms match
knowledgebase 296773 (When you are running several
programs on Windows Millennium Edition (Me) on a computer
that has 192 megabytes (MB) or more of random access
memory (RAM), you may not be able to hibernate the
computer. Instead, the screen may turn black for a few
seconds, and then the desktop reappears.)

HOW CAN I get this fix without paying $35 to talk to
Microsoft??

Here is what I need (I think)

Thanks,

How to fix?  By contacting Microsoft.  No charge is made for such patches
PROVIDED that you don't ask for any technical assistance or make queries other
than those relating to the patch.
