MS-DOS Compatibility problem with hard drives

I recently installed a new motherboard but now my
harddrives are showing a MS-DOS compatibility warning in
the performance tab of "My Computer" properties. The
warning suggests a old/bad hard drive driver in the
config.sys, but looking at the config.sys, nothing seemed
out of the ordinary. Any suggestions? I'm upgrading to
windows 2000 in a couple weeks... will this eliminate the
problem?

thanks!

Have a look at MS KB 130179 - "Troubleshooting MS-DOS Compatibility Mode on
Hard Disks" (http://support.microsoft.com?kbid=130179) and see if this helps
in resolving your Compatibility Mode problems.  It lists a number of possible
causes for such problems together with some suggestions as to fixes.
