My second hard drive does not come up every time I start.
I,ve gone into the Bios and set it to auto, some times it
finds it and then when I go into my computer view that
drive it just crashes,  when the drive does not come up i
go into device manager the yellow circle with the
exclamation mark comes up and the driver is ok with no
conflicks.

I would be very gratefull for any help

Have you applied the IDE Hard Drive Cache package WinMe update?
See http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;273017
and note the resolution for WinMe.

An old 'sluggish' HD (at first boot of the day) can have a similar effect
and *may* be ready for replacement.

If you disconnect all disk/ATAPI devices but the problematic drive, and
connect it as the master/solo on channel 1, does the drive come up
correctly every time?  If so the problem would seem to be an
unanticipated configuration of devices on the controller.  Try switching
master/slave devices or rearranging what is attached to each channel.
