My second hard drive does not come up every time I start. I,ve gone into the Bios and set it to auto, some times it finds it and then when I go into my computer view that drive it just crashes, when the drive does not come up i go into device manager the yellow circle with the exclamation mark comes up and the driver is ok with no conflicks. I would be very gratefull for any help Have you applied the IDE Hard Drive Cache package WinMe update? See http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;273017 and note the resolution for WinMe. An old 'sluggish' HD (at first boot of the day) can have a similar effect and *may* be ready for replacement. If so the problem would seem to be an unanticipated configuration of devices on the controller. Try switching master/slave devices or rearranging what is attached to each channel.
