I'm trying to install a Lexmark printer, it keeps saying
that the USB port is not comunicating.Lexmark told me to
uninstall it with a certain program from them. Now it says
this program expects a newer version of Windows, and to
Upgrade your Windows verson.I installed my HP digital
camera through this USB port and it worked fine.Any
suggestions? This printer used to work great on this
computer, then the fax had a problem, so I uninstalled it,
now can't reinstall it.I'm SO frustrated.Thanks.

Uninstall it using the program from Lexmark (and any other methods you
can find) then install using the software from the CD that came with it.
Any problem that arises then is purely Lexmark's problem.

If you've already done that and you get that (BS) message, you might
want to Uninstall it again, then open RegEdit and delete any entries
which contain the words "Lexmark" or "<whatever model number it is>",
before attempting to reinstall the drivers.
