I have installed a USB to IRDA adapter and installed
infared. I have successfully downloaded files from our
GD88 panasonic mobile phone to our computer running
Windows ME with no problems the infared works perfectly.
We purchaed a disk with ringtones and i have been trying
to send them via infared to the phone but it's not
working. I can't understand why it works one way but not
the other. Any suggestions or help would be greatly
appreciated

I have no experience with that stuff at all, being a bit of a luddite,
but I have to ask if you're mobile phone *receives* IR as well as sends.

Well, it was just a thought... another one is that there might be some
password protocol the sending machine has to give...

The third thought is that your phone doesn't take ringtones of the
variety you're sending or you have to tell it that you're sending
ringtones or something.

Rick
who has no experience with these things so hasn't had an opportunity to
Read The Fine Manual.
