I am recieving error windows (white ones) with no text, except for the close button. This happens randomly during any program I use and I cannot find a solution to fix it. I have Norton Systemworks installed and have contacted them, and they told me to take it up with you. Nothing I do seems to fix the problem. I have reinstalled all programs, all drivers, everything. I REALLY need help, because this is getting VERY annoying. I might even get annoyed enough to switch to Linux... Try Uninstalling all Norton Software - your computer will miraculously start working faster and better than it has since the day you started using Norton! How do you know it's an error message if it's blank? You may have a virus/spyware hijack download the Stinger from here and run it to make sure that A-V-disabling viruses are not present on your PC http://download.nai.com/products/mcafee-avert/stinger.exe - update your virus scanner and run a full system scan of all files. But I will try reinstalling > Norton... Noel's advice was to uninstall Norton, nothing written about reinstalling it <grin>, but it may help. When you get one of those white boxes press <Ctrl-Alt-Delete> and see what the "CloseProgram" Window (user task manager) says about the white box (though it'll probably only say "Error Message" or something, you might get lucky though) Rick |
