I tried to delete the viruses using Norton anti virus,
which infected my PC, but I couldn't delete them.

In order to get rid of the viruses, I tried to reformat
the hard drive but I got a message, "The Windows is
running.  You can't reformat your hard disk"

Is there a way you can show me how to reformat the hard
drive and then I can reload Windows ME.

I am looking forward to hear from you.

Thank you

You can only format the drive containing the windows folder by booting to DOS
and running the format command from the DOS prompt.  You cannot do this whilst
the operating system the drive contains is running.
