Hi,

I was watching listening to music on my CD drive in an
IBM Netvista PC (933 MHz Pentium III).

Suddenly, it stopped. Next, I cannot find the icons for
the CD drives in My Computer.

I CAN see the drives in the BIOS. I also swappewd the
cable witht he hard drive IDE cable, but no luck.

Using the Windows Startup disk, from DOS, I CAN see the
CD drive and read it.

However, in Windows, after starting normally, I cannot
see it.

As you can see it in the BIOS and Real Mode DOS, try 'Removing' any/all
CD-ROM(s) shown in Device Manager (in Safe Mode Too), re-boot and see if
it's re-detected.
