Compaq desktop PC.
the clock is loosing time .
Any help?
How much time, how often...
PCs are notoriously bad about keeping exact time. Loosing
afew minutes over a span of days is not at all uncommon.
On the other hand, if your date is wrong every time you
start your computer, then likely the CMOS battery is
faulty.
If it is just minor issues, downlaod this program:
ftp://time-a.nist.gov/pub/daytime/nistime-32bit.exe
And use it periodically to keep your clock set. If it is
a more serious problem, change your CMOS battery - there
should be information on Compaq's website, or you can
contact their tech support.

I put a shortcut to it in startup folder with the -runonce switch and
enabled logging: I never see it but the clock is always correct, and
there's always an excell file to tell me how far off it was every day.
