When I startup I have messenger running right of way.

I see when I get email and the feature to take me there is great, however,
Ive noticed on other sites that the passport feature keeps telling me to sign
in.

When this program 'messenger' runs does that sign me in in the passport
features?

If I am understanding the question correctly,

you are asking if automatic sign-on to MSNmessenger performs additional
automatic Sign-Ons to browser visited sites.
You have to Sign-On \Off each visited web site service you are browsing.

Sometimes it is necessary to have MSNmessenger logged-in, running on your
computer, before you can Sign-On to the visited web services.

messenger runs when I start up the computer
I choose the option to read the email (your reply for instance)
goto this site
when I reply I have to sign in; then it takes me to the community site;have
to go back to my email where this message is just to reply.

What is passport again and its purpose?
