I am trying to install outlook express 6 service pack 1
security update. The install history says it is installed
successfully; but it keeps on coming up everyday on my
install advisor for install. Can anyone tell me what file
I have to remame to make it install??

Look for the file "Windows Update.log" in your windows folder.  Open using
Notepad and look for any error entries with the same time and date of the
installation of the service pack.  Check also the file iuhist.xml in the
Program Files\WindowsUpdate\V4 folder for any error entries.  Knowing the
codes will help determine why this patch is not installing.

I can not find  a file windows update.log in my windows
folder. I click on cdrive and am using the windows folder
located there. Is this right? It has a file windows update
setup files,; but I can not make sense of what is in it.
What am I doing wrong??  thanks  Warsh

The two files you are looking for are:
"Windows Update.log" (without the quotes) in C:\Windows
and
iuhist.xml in C:\Program Files\WindowsUpdate\V4

These files are automatically generated when you install any update either
from the Windows Update site or via Win Me's Automatic Update.

Might also be hidden files - Try adjusting file viewing
properties. They're in tools/folder options/view or (early)
would be view/folder options/view. Turn on "show all files".
Apply and ok.

In Romans 1 there are qualities of Unregenerate man listed
which describe him in the last days.
Is your quality found on this list??
