Recently after I have started my pc, many times I am
unable to open a browser window, it gives an error message
and tells me to click enter to return to windows - which i
do but it returns to the message when i try again to open
a browswer window.

I have to restart my pc many times for it to work properly
finally.

The error message i get is 06: 08B7: 00000FE0

Does anyone know what is wrong and how i can fix this?
Its getting worse daily - I need help.
Thanks

Try this from Safe Mode (tap F8 at startup):

Start > Run > type MSCONFIG and press enter.

Click the Startup tab, locate and UNcheck/DEselect the entry referring
KB891711.

Close the System Configuration Utility and restart.

Hopefully that error message will not appear again.

That MS hotfix is buggy.
