I keep getting a prompt to install the latest update for Outlook Express 6
Service Pack.  Everytime I install (via critical updates) and reboot, I get
asked again to install the update.  What do I do to make it update once and
for all?  Thanks...

Which update?  Is it the Cumulative Update for Outlook Express 6 Service
Pack 1 for Windows Me (KB887797) released last December?  If so does it
appear in Add/Remove Programs where it will be listed as "Outlook Express
887797"?  What does the Installation History at the Windows Update site
have to day about the installation of this patch?

Now we know the update involved.  Thanks.  What does the Installation
History at the Windows Update site
have to day about the installation of this patch?  This is an old patch
first released in April 2004 that has since been superseded by 823353
("Microsoft Security Bulletin MS04-018 Cumulative Security Update for
Outlook Express (823353)"
released in July 2004.  If 823353 is installed then the older 837009 will
not install nor is it required.

It looks like the same file was d/l'd a Success and Failure.  Failure: 7 Jul
(KB837009), Success: 6 Jul, Failure: 6 Jul, Success: 30 Jun.  Maybe I can d/l
a current patch over this one?

In which case please see my previous post.  837009 is an outdated patch
and superseded over a year ago by 823353.
