I am using WindowsMe, Adware Professional and AVG.

Lately, every time when I boot up, Adware kept giving me a warning message
saying

there is a Registry Modification in - HKCU\Software\MS\IE\ SearchUrl, new
data is "+"

Since "+" seems to be harmless, I accepted it every time.

Would someone please let me know what is going on and if this is normal? If
not, what steps should I do to prevent this from happening?

Thanks in advance

Charles.

This is often an indicator of an infection by malware, which AVG isn't
designed to look for - try using a spyware killer, such as Ad-Aware
