Windows Forum / Windows Me / Internet / October 2006MICROSOFT EXPLORER 6 FONTS not clear etc
Hi, I am running Windows Me operating system and notice the "font" display is not clear in many cases, when using MSE6 or messenger in conjunction with MSE 6,. the fonts seem to be reduced. I also use another browser which displays the fonts perfectly. This problem only started a few months ago. A perfect example is when I use "white pages" to look up addresses, etc., I cannot see the results. except with the other browser and not have this problem, but I wonder what is causing this problem in Internet Explorer. It also happens when I try to load hotmail from bookmarks. I cannot make out the logon user name clearly. Another problem with MSE 6 or Messenger is when I close them, when only one of them is launched, the computer freezes up, so I have to close computer without closing both first. I cannot update to latest versions as there is no more support for windows Me. Kindly reply by posting only. Roger May I ask why you have waited "a few months" before posting about this problem as by doing this you have somewhat restricted the options available to you and probably are now unable to answer the question "what changes, however small, did you make to your system immediately prior to first noticing this problem?". MSE6. I assume here that you mean Internet Explorer 6 (IE6). What version are you running? You can check this using Help | About when running IE6. Fixing your problem might be as simple as updating IE6 to the latest version released for use with Win Me. You mention Messenger. Is this MSN Messenger? Again what is the version and do you have any plug-ins installed such as Messenger Plus!?
