After re-installing Windows ME, I can no longer download
files form one of my bank sites.  I have no problem with
several others.  I am receiving the following error
message.

"Windows cannot access the specified device, path or
file.  You may not have the appropriate permission to
access the item."

Any ideas on how to solve problem?

Duane,

If it's just one web site than maybe you should contact them and report
the issue. If you are using Norton System Works please post back with
the version number.

I have determined that it is more than one site.  I now
alos remember that Internet Explorer must be told to
accept QIF files.  If I could only remember how to do that.

Duane,

Info on QIF is here :

http://www.wotsit.org/search.asp?s=financial

Do you have Quicken installed ? Perhaps you should visit their website
for an explanation on " Internet Explorer must be told to
accept QIF files "
