I have been using Movie maker for a while and it has been working fine. Now
though when I just start th eprogram it  says it has encountered and error
and needs to close.  Does anyone have any ideas on how I can fix this
problem.  I am running Win XP w/ 2.8 ghz Pent 4 proc on a 160 gb HD.  Thanks
for the help.

It's possibly a codec conflict, check out www.papajohn.org and see the
problem solving section.
