Unable to play or render digital video on an IEEE 1394
(FireWire) device.  I see a couple of upgrades listed in
the Microsoft knowledge base under this subject.  How do I
get those?

By clicking on "Windows Update" in your Start Menu. Concensus is *not*
to install hardware specific drivers from WU, rather from the
manufacturer's site.
