useing mediaplayer to burn cd's

i installed a cdrw drive and my media player wont recgnize
it when i click on (copy to cd) it says there is no
writeable drive ! any one got a clue?????

cd's just fine.did a media player update (from microsoft
automatic updates) now when i try to burn a cd it
says "there are no supported cd-recordables available.
help!!!!!!!!!!!
