jpeg files download only as .art or .bmp

when i try to download .jpg or .jpeg files from a website
or even my msn email with "save picture as", i'm offered
only art or bmp formats. i just downloaded the explorer
6.0 and the problem remains the same. is this a windows
problem, or some virus? thanks.

Clear your Temporary Internet Files (Control Panel | Internet Options |
General | Delete Files and make certain that you check the box to "Delete all
offline content"). Return to the web site and hopefully you should now be
able
save jpgs, etc.

hey, thanks for the reply. did what you suggested, but no
luck. still only can download in art or bitmap. any
other ideas? appreciate the help.
