error in Wlindows Media Player

I receive an error #CooDoFCB when trying to play wmv files
sent to me....HELP

it's C00D0FCB
This error message usually indicates ( as the error message itself states)
that the file is corrupt. You need to ensure that the file is properly
downloaded first.
If this is a common problem - ensure that you have the correct codecs
installed (or upgrade to WMP9.0b via Windows Update - make sure you disable
your anti-virus before installing)
