hi, i recently upgraded to wmp9 from version 7 and when i
try to play audio cds, it skips so badly you cannot use
it. wmp7 ran fine, no problems, but i know from reading
other entries here i cannot go back(no restore points,
don't have original winme cd, etc.). is there any way to
set my windows me configuration system to accept this new
version to play cds without skipping? someone said it may
be the speed the computer is set at? i do not receive any
error messages accept when i tried to uninstall 9 and
reinstall 7. any help would be greatly appreciated. thank
you very much, kae

If you go to the properties for the CD drive under WMP's
Tools:Options:Devices and switch to use Analog playback, does the CD sound
then work right?

See http://www.nwlink.com/~zachd/pss/pss.html for some helpful WMP info.
