My laptop suddenly stopped browsing the internet. I can
ping other computers both using Netbios name and IP
address. The only one I cannot ping is the netbios name of
our proxy server lathough I can ping its IP address. I
tried to copy the settings on a working computer but it
didn't help. I removed and reinstalled the NIC and all
protocols but it did'nt help either. I can browse other
computers on the network though and can even map network
drives. My only problem is connecting to the internet.

Any advice?

Thanks a lot!!!

Why are you using NetBios? - it's not required!
you may have spyware
Such errors are often caused by spyware - download AdAware from
www.lavasoftusa.com, install, update, and run it to remove spyware, adware,
and other such nasties from your system.

also run the LSPFix from here
