network adapter

all most ever time i disconnect from the internet and get
ready to reconnect i get a message saying that my networ
adapter is not responding or working properly. to
uninstall and then reinstall. can someone PLEASE HELP ME?

The first thing to try is to go to System Properties, to the Device Manager,
locate your network adapter, and remove it from the list. Reboot your
computer, and the "Plug and Play" feature of Windows should find new
hardware, and locate drivers for it. If you DO that, though, you MUST have
the original install disk, just in case "Plug and Play" can't find the
drivers on the HDD.
