ME To XP Share drives

I have 2 computers that have windows ME and a New computers with windows XP
home on it and the computers with windows ME will disappear off the windows
XP box. I have windows XP doing a full system backup for the 2 ME boxes.. Is
there a compatibility problems between the ME and XP or am I just going
crazy...

Are they all in the same workgroup?

Are the drives/folders shared?

Is the firewall turned off on the XP machine?

Victor, Carey's Tip #1 doesn't apply to Windows XP.  With a single
exception, the settings that it mentions don't exist in Windows XP.
If you try that tip, don't be surprised that you can't follow it.

There's no compatibility problem between ME and XP.  All versions of
Windows can network with each other.
