All of my Dial-up Connection Icons have disappeared from the Dil-Up
Networking folder??

When attempting to add a new network dial up connection using the Make new
Connection wizard
and clicking on the FINISH comand button the icon
for the connection is not added to the dial-up networkign folder.

When I dial up my AOL service it tells me that AOL can not get out to the
internet.

I have tried the following to fix the problem.

1.    Uninstalled Dialup networking and then reinstalled it.
2.    Uninstalled TCPIP support in "Networking" and then
      reinstalled it.
3.    Ran Tweak UI to rebuild/recover all Icons.
4.    Removed my internal modem card and placed it
in another card slot on the mother board.
5.    Device Manager says the modem is fully functional
as well as the LAN card in the PC.

I have seen several Microsoft KB articles on the subject but they all are
for other versions of the operating system

i.e. Windows XP or Windows 2000 or NT server.

Is there a fix for Windows ME for this out there?

I have search the  www.deja.com forum but all fixes relate to non Windows ME
or Win98 operating systems.

try this
you may have spyware
Such errors are often caused by spyware - download AdAware from
www.lavasoftusa.com, install, update, and run it to remove spyware, adware,
and other such nasties from your system.

also run the LSPFix from here
