need help setting up network me desktop xp laptop with wireless network card

i have a desktop that is running me and a laptop that is
running xp. i have dsl and the router has a wireless
connection so i got a wireless network card for my laptop
but i am having problems setting up the network. need help

"Doctor, it hurts. What should I do?"; well, that is the kind of question
which you just asked. Give us the exact error that you see. Or tell us what
steps you followed, and what happened, or didn't happen.

Run the Windows XP Network Setup Wizard on both computers, and tell it
that they connect to the Internet through a residential gateway
(router).  It will make all the right settings:

If that doesn't solve the problem, please reply to this message in the
news group (not by E-mail) with more information to help other people
understand the problem.  Describe exactly what's wrong, including the
compete text of all error messages.
