XP pro is the host, me is the client. They ping each other, and share files,
but although me says the inernet gateway is open, it will not go on the net.

Do you have the XP machine set up correctly as the ICS host?
What IP's are the two machine using ("ipconfig /all" from a DOS window) -
the XP box should be 192.168.1.1, and the ME machine is likely to be
192.168.1.2
