Drivers Not Loading?

I just reinstalled windows me on a new big hard drive and I have been playing
games and installing stuff for the past few days. I have been trying to get a
wlan adapter working, but none of the wifi programs I have downloaded for it
will load after installation. What part of windows is missing that it does
this? Thank you in advance for any help you can provide.

Also, I tried it on another windows xp computer and it does the same thing
there. So this means im missing a wifi package or something, right?
