Suddenly my computer and printer don't seem to be talking
to each other.  The print item starts to scroll and then
stops.  The printer says it is idle, and the print item is
in queue.  Then, nothing.  They system won't let me do a
system restore.  It tells me to reboot first, which I've
done many times, and I still can't do the restore.  The
printer seems to be fine, so it seems to be somewhere in
the software, although anything is possible.  I've tried
everything I can think of, and everything the system
offers, most of which it won't allow me to do.  Something
is fouled up somewhere and this is very frustrating.
Help!!!

System Restore
Your problem is a fairly common one - are you running Norton software?
Try this
Start|Run
type
SCANREG   /FIX
click OK
Windows will offer to fix the registry - reboot on request and see if that
helps.
