installing a printer

for some strange reason everytime i in stall a printer,it
installs itself as a shared printer,even though i select
local printer . what can i do .

In the printers folder, right-click the printer, properties, sharing tab, tick "Do
not share this printer."

>thanks i know that , the problem is i cannot install a
local printer no matter what i do , it installs as a
shared printer by default,even though i select local on
lpt1 paralell port during the wizard . i then have to
change it back to local printer
