When I try to print a job, I receive the following
message and the printer does not work. Then all the
installed printers disappear from the "Printers" screen
in "My computer". I have to restart the computer to see
again all the printers.
Error message:
"Spool32 caused an error at <unknown>. Spool32 will be
closed."
My O.S. is Windows ME, the printer is Epson Stylus Color
580 using USB port and the processor is Celeron 433 MHz.

Resolving spool32 errors can be quite time consuming and you may wish to start
by having a look at the Microsoft Knowledge Base article KB 191949 - "How to
Troubleshoot Spool32 Error Messages"
