Installed a new hard drive on my Laptop and just finished re-installing all
the software. Visited PC Pittstop for a performance review and received the
following comment;
   "The maximum size of your internet explorer browser is 178 megabytes.
This is a larger value than we recommend. Generally cache sizes above 80 MB
waste disk space and can actually cause slower performance". They then go on
to recommend a value between 5 and 80.
Does this make sense ? Is there an ideal method for determining Cache ?
Appreciate any comments and recommendations.

Control Panel | Internet Options | General | Temporary Internet Files -
Settings is probably what you are looking for.  Set to something between say 5
and 40MB.  You can check the current size of your cache by looking at the
properties of your Temporary Internet Files folder.

Thanks for your feedback Mike. I have arbitrarily set it at 10 MB. However I
would be interested in knowing if there is any degradation in performance
if, instead, I set it at 80 MB. More importantly, is there an ideal setting,
and if so how does one find it ??
