Check the Preferences and/or Options sections for the programs involved and
uncheck any entry relating to them being launched each time the system is
booted.  Alternatively, but only as a last resort, uncheck any associated
entry on the Startup tab of MSConfig (Start, Run, enter MSConfig, & click OK).
