In trying to solve another nagging problem, I removed some
fonts.  I shot myself in the foot doing it.  The desktop
icon font, newsgroups, and outlook 2000 fonts are too
small to read.  The standard Windows font apparently was
one of the fonts I deleted and the default alternate (?)
was loaded in its place.

How do I reset the fonts for these functions?

The font you want is San Serif (Western).  It's on your ME installation CD
in a folder called 'mini cab' in the Win9x directory, the file is called
'Sserife.fon'.  You'll have to extract it to your 'Temp' folder, then
install it as a new font from there.

Easiest way
