Try by removing/deleting the QL folder
which is at
C:\WINDOWS\Application Data\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Quick Launch\
Make sure you only delete the \Quick Launch  folder not the complete path.

The quick launch taskbar just appeared on my taskbar today
and I cannot remove it.  I tried right clicking on an
empty spot of my taskbar to bring up the properties for
it, but it seems to be disabled.  Is there a way to
physically remove this quick launch feature?  Help!
