I have a hp 6830 which I did fdisk and format on.
I cannnot get the hp recovery disks to reinstall me.
I have win98 fe and was able to get a good install on
this machine. Now when I put the hp recovery disk in
it gives message that disks are for hp pavilion only.
I have tried all the online self help from hp's site.
One thing the cd rom is not the original it is a cdrw.
Could this cause the problem with the recovery disk ? I
have tried the disk on another hp machine and the recovery
sceen comes up. Thanks for any help you may have.
